A new year is upon and Pastor Ken challenges us and asks specific questions.  He reminds us that passivity or pain brings about paralysis in our Christian walk.  

Isaiah 43:18-19, Philippians 3:13-14, Genesis 11:27-32  Are you living in your pain?  If you are holding on to your history, you are not healed!  Where are you willing to settle?  What are you willing to settle for?

Romans 15:4, 3  Remember you are NOT alone.

Psalm 46:10   I will not quit.  I will not doubt.  HE is able. 

When we wear out we begin to doubt and the accuser has the opportunity to move in.  Pastor Ken discusses how to PERSEVERE!

Luke 9:23 - Without the Holy Spirit, we will ignore God's commands and live in 1/2 Chrisitianity, missing out on the joy of FULL surrender.

Have you ADDED Jesus to your life, or MADE Him your life?

Galations 5:16-17 - When we are full of self protection we say, "I cannot or will not change, but I want all that you have to offer me."

We MUST trust Father God to give us what we NEED.  Don't resign yourself to "just be."  Remember He has a BEST for You!

Pastor Ken discusses the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit.  Asking us "Are you touching whomever God is bringing across your path?"

I Corinthians 2:11 - When the Holy Spirit is abiding in me, I am able to understand the thoughts of God because the Spirit of God is speaking to me.                                                                                                                                                                                                          I Corinthians 2:10 - The Holy Spirit comes in and He becomes your teacher.                                                                                                    I Corinthians 12:11 - The Holy Spirit gives us abilities, talents and gifts as He determines. He makes you unique. He is an equal part of God. Romans 8:27 - The Holy Spirit has a mind (knowledge, feelings and will). He encourages you.                                                                Romans 15:30 - The Holy Spirit LOVES YOU!                                                                                                                                    Nehemiah 9:20 - The Holy Spirit is full of knowledge. He is part of the Godhead.                                                                                       Ephesians 4:30 - The Holy Spirit can be grieved.                                                                                                                                Romans 8:26 - The Holy Spirit intercedes for us in our weaknesses.                                                                                                     Jeremiah 17:9 - The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin.                                                                                                                                       Romans 8:9, John 20:21-22 and Acts 1:8
